EPCOT - Disney
Epcot Center Drive,
Lake Buena Vista,
Florida 32830
When we go to Disney, we stay for about a week. As there are only four parks to visit, we generally visit each one more than once. We hit the Magic Kingdom seven or eight times in that period, but Epcot only gets one, two (maybe three) visits--depending on how bored we are with the other options. It is not our least favorite (the Animal Kingdom only has three things to do there) but it is second to last. We like the educational aspect, Nemo, the dinosaurs and the Test Track. There is also a fabulous fireworks show...Get there early to get a spot up close to the fence.

The Magic Kingdom - Disney

"Our favorite park at Disney"
We love Walt Disney World in general, but we especially LOVE the Magic Kingdom. There are so many fun things to do there--not only the rides... Don't get me wrong, the rides are great. Our favorites are The Haunted Mansion, The Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain and the Jungle Cruise. But we also enjoy the animatronic shows, live street performances, and parades. The SpectroMagic Parade is great; my kids love that not only the floats have lights, but also the costumes on the people. It is alot of walking; bring several water bottles--there are fountains to refill throughout. There are no shortages of bathrooms, and I definitely recommend going in the off-peak season. Not only are hotels cheaper (we like to stay in the resort for "extra magic hours" and to immerse ourselves in Disney culture), but you will avoid some lines and humidity going in February versus June.

Klein Farms Dairy and Creamery--Open Gate Farm Tour
410 Klein Road,
Easton,
Pennsylvania 18040
"Wonderful fun for everyone!"
Free entry; $-$$ (per item) depending on what produce you buy.
So much to do at this cute little dairy farm! We went in early October to pick a pumpkin, but found this place had so much more to offer. Several area farms participated in an Open Gate Farm Tour; the idea was to hop from farm to farm learning about the operations and supporting local farmers. We spent the whole day at Klein's!! There was a tour of the barn, the creamery, the bakery, the cheesery, etc. We met all the milking cows, the calves and learned about the process. We also learned about the benefits of raw milk and the negatives of pasteurization (very educational!!) We saw the family at work preparing bread, caramel apples, and pies. We took a tractor-driven hayride to a pick your own pumpkin patch (pre-cut, thank goodness!) The pumpkins were cheap too (we paid $10 for three pumpkins). There are two corn mazes (a kid one and a regular one) and a decent-sized playground. There was a barbeque and cookies for sale to support a local mission, as well as the farm's store with cheese, dips, meat, fresh fruit and vegetables, raw milk, yogurt smoothies and bread for sale at very reasonable prices. We spent roughly $60 on so much cheese and bread, we ate for lunch and dinner for two days! It is not pasteurized, so it has a fairly short expiration date, but so good! I loved this farm, and I am definitely going back next year. If I lived closer, I would visit the store weekly to get my meat, dairy and produce locally.
(Sorry the review is so long!!)

American Museum of Natural History

"Best Museum for Everyone!"
I remember the special trip we took into the city when I was a kid to the Museum of Natural History. I was in love with dinosaurs, so the trip was for me, even though I think my sisters ended having fun too. There is a little bit of everything educational at this museum. My kids loved to see the huge skeletons, especially the whale suspended from the ceiling in one of the rooms. Again, we always pack a lunch or go grab a slice outside rather than buying lunch in the cafeteria.

Barnegat Lighthouse State Park
Broadway,
Barnegat Light,
New Jersey
Here there is a great jetty that goes pretty far into the water. It is super fun to scramble and climb your way across it. It's wide enough that it doesn't make me too nervous to let the kids play on the rocks; they can stay towards the middle. We climbed the lighthouse a few times, and the view is beautiful.
