Six Flags Great Adventure

"One of My Favorite Places!"
Although this park is not great for the entire family (I don't think it is appropriate for kids under 5.), it is a great find for those families who enjoy going to amusement parks together! The roller coasters here are the best I've found on the east coast. It is well worth the money, and usually not too crowded on the weekdays!

Annie's Playground
864 Smith Lane,
Fallston,
Maryland 21047
Not only is this playground amazing for it's play structure, but it backs up to sports fields (soccer/field hockey/etc) and the Ma & Pa Trail. This is a place you could easily spend 3-4 hours at and not get bored! If you do, just take a walk or bike through nature along the mostly paved path behind the park!

Mariner Point Park
100 Kearney Drive,
Joppa,
Maryland 21085
While the playground here is small, I love taking walks around the natural scene. It is a great place to set out a picnic or to take a "nature" walk. We like to watch the wildlife, pick up leaves, and watch the boats out on the water. It is a nice quiet place to interact with your child!

Lyn Stacie Getz Creative Playground
301 West Ring Factory Road ,
Bel Air,
Maryland
This park is in great condition in a great location. It is always clean and full of friendly people. It is a typical park with swings, slides, climbing walls, tire swing, music box, etc. I love it for the size especially, not too small but the ability to sit down while little ones play and still see them is great! Our favorite thing to do is bring a picnic lunch and eat, then play!

BCPL Storyville
6105 Kenwood Avenue,
Baltimore,
Maryland 21237
I often nanny for 3 kids at a time, so going places that cost 5+ dollars per child is not really a good option. For free, this place is AMAZING. Not only is the entire thing interactive, but it is widely ranged for kids up to age 5. One downfall, at least during the summer, is that you cannot have older children in with you. So if you have a 6 year old and 3-4 year old, it does make it difficult. Otherwise, I think Storyville is a great place to learn and interact!
