Train rides, mini golf, delicious french fries, horse drawn carriage rides, and Senators baseball games are all options on City Island! If you're bored there, you're doing something wrong! Senators games may not be sold out, but they are a great idea for a fun afternoon! Dogs are ok on leash and there is even a beach on the far side of the island.

The Farm Show in Harrisburg is the largest indoor agricultural exhibit on the eastern seaboard. I grew up going every year with my family! Where else can you see a lifesize butter scultpure, eat potato doughnuts, fried mushrooms, and fresh milkshakes, and even weigh your entire family on an industrial scale! The Farm Show is huge and more than worth the time!

I highly recommend wearing shoes you don't mind tossing out afterwards. You WILL step in poop!

If you have a little one (or big one) who's into planes, this is the place to go! There is a small play area for the littlest airplane enthusiasts, but the museum is definitely geared towards an older crowd. The huge planes inside are pretty cool by just about anyone's standards though! The museum's restaraunt is quite good as well.

The zoo is a great place to take the kids! WIth a fun play area and otter slides, the kids will be entertained for hours. The polar bear exhibit has been redone recently and has a walk through tunnel and mock town front. The aquarium is just the right size and has a penguin exhibit that the kids all flip for! Our favorite part is the kangaroo pen - you can walk through and even pet kangaroos!
