I took a group of school age children to the museum and the kids loved it. This is a small museum but really packs a lot of aviation into it. This is a great way to introduce airplanes and helicopters to your little ones as if they need a introduction. The docents are all former pilots and give a lot of themselves to the tours, it's great. After our tour I just got on the freeway and took the kids to Coyote Point to have their lunches. It was a great day.

"Blackhawk Automotive Museum for kids of all sizes"
Blackhawk is a museum for kids of all ages. The car collection is incredible and extensive. Cars from all over the world and time periods. There are cars that will bring back memories to all visitors. A replica of Karl Benz' first motorwagen to experimental cars. But that's not all. The Museum has antique juke boxes and gas pumps on display. There is a working signal light. For the younger members of your group there is the Discovery Room. This is a hands-on free exploration activity room that is focused on "Transportaion" right now but soon it will be transformed into "Trainland" to go along with the European Train Enthusiasts model train exhibit. This is a great time to visit the ETE has a HO scale set up that is incredible with at least four trains running at anytime. There is a smaller set up , made by one of their wives that is a replica of the village of her childhood at Christmas time. The Discovery Room is filled with hands on activities for children age one to one hundred.
