Disney's Old Key West Resort | kids travel, kids activities
Disney's Old Key West Resort
1510 North Cove Road,
Lake Buena Vista, Florida
"Family Friendly Resort"
Disney's Old Key West Resort is very family/kid friendly. Their actitive center is filled with lots of things for the kids to do. There are video games, art projects, air hockey table, dart board, pool table, movies for rent, board games and scheduled actitives such as cookie decorating, bingo by at the pool, etc. The staff there are all great and at the front desk there are balloon swords free for the kids. Another things this resort offered that many do not is the option of taking a boat to Downtown Disney, kids loved being able to do that! The one bedroom accomadation was very spacious for our family of 5. The large jacuzzi table is always a big hit with my kids. The living room/kitchen area is huge!!! The only thing that made us nervous was the flat screen tv that is location in an entertainment center that is low to the gound, was constantly worried that the kids were going to break it. The only downfall I would say about staying at this particular resort is access to the pool area. If you are not staying in a section close to the pool you will either find yourself waiting at the bus stop for the right bus or walking. This got tiring very quickly.

Disney Cruise Wonder
P.O. Box 10238,
Lake Buena Vista,
Florida 32830-0238
"Disney Cruise on the Wonder"
The cruise is filled with lots of activities for kids of all ages (yes, even us older kids). I personally enjoyed the adult menus and preferred to order some of my kids food from there rather than the kids meals. The kids menu was about the same every night and every resturant. Mac and cheese, french fries, hamburgers, etc. It was nice dining in different resturants during your cruise. The kids have their own play area if you want to let them play on their own. The best thing about this is when and if your child wants to leave to reunite with you they will ring your pager and a text message with let you know he/she is ready to be picked up. The nightly shows were great and very entertaining. Characters are available for pictures at assigned time. Staterooms were roomy and didn't give us a feeling of being cramed together. Having seperate shower/tub and toliet room was very nice as well. Overall, the cost is a little higher than other cruises and you pay for the Disney name and service.

San Francisco Zoo | kids travel, kids activities
San Francisco Zoo
1 Zoo Road,
Sloat Boulevard at Forty-fifth Avenue,
San Francisco,
California 94132
"A day at the SF Zoo"
This is a great place to visit with your little ones, more so on a nice sunny day. If it's cold out this may not be the best place to visit, with it being right now to the beach, it could make for very cold gloomy day. If you child likes train rides they will be in for a real treat. My kids love it. There could be more animals in their exhibits though. The petting zoo is just average nothing extradinary.
