Hard Rock Cafe New York
1501 Broadway,
New York (Manhattan),
New York
This beats out any other Hard Rock - don't care where it is. It is a staple and if you can't have a good time here, I don't know what's wrong with you! :)
Kids would enjoy this too, although maybe not APPRECIATE it as much as an adult. Food is standard fair - burgers, fries, and the like. Come here for the experience though, not just the food! I would definitely recommend visiting the Hard Rock Cafe. Why not??!

Jekyll and Hyde of Greenwich Village
91 7th Avenue South ,
between West 4th Street and Barrow Street,
New York (Manhattan),
New York
I have always loved Jekyll and Hyde. I have been here a few times and never had a bad experience. It is a different option rather than just going to a normal place to eat. Kids are entertained and the menu caters to them too (burgers, fries, etc). The staff is friendly and it's a good switch-up from the normal everyday routine. A camera might be a good idea as well. Kids will remember this fun experience for years to come!

Six Flags Great Adventure
1 Six Flags Boulevard,
Jackson,
New Jersey 08527
This is a fun park. It can get VERY crowded on weekends so be prepared to wait in line. Even during the weekdays you will probably still have to wait in line but it won't be as bad. The Flash Pass is WORTH it. I would definitely recommend splurgin on one, to help cut the waiting time on the lines, thus making your trip more enjoyable. The more rides you can go on, the more fun you will have, right? Food is a little pricey but it's an amusement part so it's to be expected. I love that it is not too far.

Rockefeller Center
30 Rockefeller Plaza,
New York (Manhattan),
New York
I have had the privilege of ice skating at Rockefeller Center. What a fun time! It is a magical atmosphere, at Christmastime, when you are surrounded by happy, joyous people and Christmas spirit. The gigantic tree is stunning and a real pleasure to be able to see if you are in New York during the holidays. Kids will always remember it (when I skated there, I was a young child... it was not recent) and it just never gets old. It can get very crowded so prepare to deal with that aspect of it. It is the only Con I can come up with.

The Museum of Modern Art / MoMA
11 West 53 Street,
New York (Manhattan),
New York 10019
...and I am not one of them. But, MOMA is still something fun to do in the city! I remember coming here on a class trip and, although I was not savvy to the meanings and inspirations behind the artwork, it was still lovely to look at and interesting to see. I think children should be a little older to enjoy this one more. If you are not an "art person" I do believe you can still enjoy this attraction.
