Northlake is a wonderful mix for any family. For mom they have wonderful salons and dress shops for dad they have plenty of seating areas to wait for mom and for the kids plenty of specialty shops and open areas for a little energetic release. And a good food court. I prefer it out of all the malls in charlotte.

pullen park used to be awesome when we were growing up with a small amusement area with rides and a train and all. Now the main attraction is the paddle boats. It is very inexpensive to go out and if you can catch a very sunny day it is definitely worth your time and leg effort. They still have a nice playground so still a great family destination.

My family loves to go to the Billy Graham Library during christmas time for their annual event. It is very crowded and most nights you have to wait a good while to even get into the parking lot but when you get inside you forget all about the initial hassle. My kids loved the storytime on the porch and the talking cow. And for FREE you just cant beat it.

I am a proud fair-goer of the North Carolina State Fair. I am now a resident of South Carolina but every time that I am able, i return to Raleigh for the fair. By far they have the best variety of vendors and exhibits that I have seen thus far. Every year it is something new and exciting that I and my family look forward to.

We absolutely love carowinds during the summer season. My husband and I have season passes for the family and we make good use of them. My daughters love the waterpark and could spend everyday there during the summer and never get tired of it. They have a wonderful section for the kids but enough variety for the adults who are there to watch them as well. We love it to say the least.
