We just got back from going with the whole 4th grade class at Shadow Valley Elementary in Ogden, Utah to Beus Pond. What a great place to go explore nature, wildlife, trees,wetlands,water cycle,plants,animals,soil,rocks,weather changes, and the beautiful fall colors. We went on a field trip called "BET" which stands for Beus Exploration Team. We go to the same place once a month to learn about different types of natural field studies. Bues Pond is the place to do our field studies. We went on a Adventurous Field Trip today. We learned about: Name that Tree. BET at a Glance! It was so fun walking around listening, looking, and trying to decide what all the different types of trees they had. First off they did a observation,focus lesson,Signs of Fall. We looked at the wonderful colors of tree's . We found many acorns in a tree, that a squirrel was storing for winter. Great place for kids and the family to spend the afternoon, or picnic. You can feed the ducks at the pond. Great place for children to learn about the outdoors. It is for all ages
