Worlds Of Fun
4545 Worlds of Fun Avenue,
Kansas City,
Missouri 64161
We've been here with our church youth group several times and the kids all love it. If you're in another age group it's not the best. The park is small enough you don't feel too uneasy letting groups of middle school kids go off but not so small that you're seeing all your groups on a regular basis.
I grew up going to Cedar Point and with great coasters like that it's hard to compare other places based on coasters. They also don't have great shows for adults that you get in places like Branson.
I thought the price was high for the experience but like I said before our whole group of kids loved it and would go again in a heart beat.

Mackinac Bridge walk
Fort Michilimackinac Rd,
Mackinaw City,
Michigan 49781
"A once in a lifetime (or at least a year) experience!"
As a kid I was obsessed with teh Mackinaw Bridge and we so excited to walk it when I was 5. I wanted to walk the whole 5 miles by myself but my parents pushed a stroller knowing I'd need it. I did make it through the whole walk but did use the stroller as soon as we were off the bridge. We walked again when my brother was 5 and now I'm just waiting for my daughter to turn 5 so she can walk the 5 miles herself.
As a bridge that is usually only open to cars it's neat so see the masses of people walking across. Parts of the bridge have grates so you can look down while walking and see the water and boats under you...very neat!

Montezuma Well National Monument
Finnie Flats Road,
Rimrock,
Arizona
This is a beautiful walk and if you stay on the main path it's only 1/3 mile. You get a great view on the well and while you're there be sure to look for the small cliff dwillings on the edges of the well.
The last time I was there my daughter was just over a year old and I wore her in a sling with no problem. We stayed mostly on the main path but did take a little side trip on some of the lesser paths and it was I still felt like there was enough footing for that. While on the main path she loved the free run of the place and had a ball out in the fresh air. I really can't wait till she's a little older an is able to spot the cliff dwillings and we can talk about the history of the area. For now she was happy with the ducks and birds she found!

Montezuma Castle National Monument
Montezuma Castle National Monument,

"Imagine climbing to your house every night!"
I went to Montezuna Castle several times as a kid and loved it. I always thought it was neat to see that castle so high up on that mountain and try to imagine living there all those years ago. In the past you were able to actually go into the castle but because of vandalisiam you now have to observe the castle from the 1/3 mile loop below. Expect an entrance fee for adults but the kids still get in free!

Royals Baseball

There are lots of promotions that run at Kauffman Stadium so be sure you check that out before you go. The Friday night fireworks are always great. They used to do $5 Monday tickets (who knows what the new season will bring). Sundays are family day and they often have a giveaway for the kids then base running after the game. My daughter's favorite promotion last season was when the KC Zoo and Build-A-Bear teamed up to give all the kids a free polar bear.
Parking is around $10. I always do promotions for tickets but have yet to find a way to get around the parking so be ready for that.
