The Aerospace museum is a great family-friendly museum. They have outdoor displays that you can climb up into. Inside there are multiple hangars with all kinds of historic aircraft. At the back there is a play area with flight-related experiments, toys and even a cockpit to sit in. My kids liked all the toys in the gift shop so you might want to skip that if you are on a budget!

This is an outdoor museum with lots of living history. The Center has a blacksmith shop, old cabins and lots of farm animals. At certain times of year they host events with volunteers dressed up as pioneers who can answer questions about various old-fashioned crafts like candle making, spinning, outdoor cooking and animal husbandry. Its a great place for kids to learn about the past.

This reservoir attracts lots of families for a weekend of fishing, boating and water skiing. There aren't a lot of amenities so you will need to plan on roughing it. The nearest town is Vernal, Utah. They do have a visitors center, boat docks and camping areas. It's a great way to beat the heat and get away from city life.

This train runs down and back in the mountains near Heber Utah. The staff dresses up and gets everyone seated. Sometimes there are staged train robberies and other antics to entertain young riders. The views from the windows are gorgeous but the ticket to ride is also steep. Its a fun excursion for those who love all thing Thomas and Trains.

This garden has lots to see. The kids really like running up and down the paths. There are lots of them and they go in every direction. The waterfalls are all manmade but there are lots of them and they are artistically done. The gardens which are less than twenty years old have lots of mature trees because they were designed and planted to be instantly beautiful.
