"Family *and* pet friendly"
Hotel-provided cribs were sturdy metal, not a shoddy playpen. Staff was accommodating and we even got free tea service in the lobby. Rooms were nice and the pool on the roof was cool. I do wish the pool had been a bit bigger or that there was a separate pool for families. Since there is a pool-side bar, there was a certain element of "meat market" at the pool at times.

The gardens were amazing. A great family activity for a sunny day. The little ones can run and explore and be noisy without bother. Unfortunately we went in January so some of the plants were not growing - we missed out on the waterlily garden :( But the cactuses more than made up for it. I felt like we spent an afternoon in Arizona just exploring the Cactus Gardens. :)

"Good rainy day activity"
Lots of cool cars and exhibits, enough so all family members can find something they like. Downstairs also has a play area for kids with tables and art supplies and auto-themed activities. There is a dress-up station with a trunk full of different hats, wigs, coats, etc (could have a better selection of accessories, but still fun) for great kid photo-ops. We've been there twice and each time they had a different vehicle designated as the "photo" car. So we have pictures of dress-up fun in an old "jalopy" truck and a cute little roadster. :) The gift shop has some cool items, but I wish they had a wider variety of automotive themed toddler age appropriate toys.
