We Just Got Back From
Galveston, TX
Our Favorite Vacation Spot
We each probably have our own favorite, but the beach is the place for the kids!
A Place We'd Love To Visit
Disney World
Favorite Vacation Memory
Hours spent on the beach in late November in Galveston, making sand castles and finding shells.
Worst Travel Moment With My Kids:
Being stuck in traffic on the way to Pennsylvania from CT. We arrived much later than planned and our son was beyond tired.

"Trip to the border"
While living in San Diego, it was much easier to get around in a car than trying to go on the trolley schedule. We did take the trolley when we would go to Mexico. It was much easier than driving there. I wouldn't recommend crossing the border with young children. When we did use the trolley it was clean and easy to use.

"Stroller Strides"
When my son was a newborn I did a Stroller Strides exercise program here. There is a very nice flat paved path that is great for a long stroller ride. Great exercise and nice to get the baby out in the beautiful weather. When we were done with our walk there were nice, shaded grassy areas to relax in and older children could play on the playground.

"dogs before babies?"
We used to live in Ocean Beach while our son was a baby. It is a great area, but more for adults and teens. It has a very laid back attitude, hippy and punk. The beach is beautiful, but there are no playgrounds or other features.... just sand, which is great if you have young children that just want to build sand castles. There is a dog beach. Fun to watch all the dogs running into the water, but also a bit crazy and stinky at the same time! When we would walk down to the main strip of stores and restaurants we would get more comments on our dog than our baby! The Farmer's Market is a must-do. So many yummy samples and great deals on fresh flowers.

"beach with more"
This is a great beach for the kids to do the usual building of sand castles and swimming, but also there is a nice path where you can walk with strollers while enjoying the view. Also, make sure to walk out on the pier and look at all the sea lions sunning themselves. They are so cute and it is fun to look for the pups.

"Shopping with a view."
These specialty stores are really nice, but not super stroller friendly. There are a lot of breakable items for little hands. It is a nice place for a walk and you can sit on a bench and look at the water. There are also ducks in the pond for the kids to watch.
