"Free and fantastic"
The fact that this is a free event, makes it worth it to us. We really enjoy there hands-on shows with reptiles (call ahead for times or reservations). The stuffed displays are great and non-threatening for the children. The play area is great for a diversion.

"Just like it says- Rocky!"
This is great trail for all sorts of ages. With our small children, we don't seem to get too far into the canyon, but the point is just to give them experience. They enjoy stopping to through rocks into the river and looking for small animals. The only trouble with rocks is they can make some of the climbs slippery. Great place to start the day on a hot morning in the summer!

"Absolute favorite park in the mountains"
We love this park! It has quite a few pavilions (reserving recommended) and our favorite is that it has a huge field for multiple games. There are fire pits. There is a river - so watch the little children. There are also trails that are fun to take small hikes. It is a beautiful spot in the mountains.

"Get ready to fork out some money!"
Barefoot Landing is great for adults, but not what I would recommend for children. There were some turtles and gators in the water that the kids enjoyed, but that was about it. The only thing I would recommend is having your picture taken with a tiger or monkey. It costs about $60 dollars, but it's all for saving the animals. It's worth it because it is way awesome to think we held a real tiger! My son is terrified of dogs, but he was so excited to hold the monkey and the tiger. It was worth it for that experience alone.

"It just keeps going..."
We didn't think anything of it when we first walked in because the first alligators were tiny. But, as we walked further in, the alligators got bigger and bigger and they were everywhere! The exhibits were very safe, but I would keep a close watch on little children. My son was very happy to get to hold a tiny alligator after the show and it was a great photo opportunity. The shows were great and it was an amazing experience.
