Mom, Dad, 5 year old T and 2 1/2 year old E. We love visiting grandparents in St Louis and Boston, and we love road trips up the East Coast. My laid-back son loves the simple pleasures: playgrounds, picnics, train and subway rides. He's still up for adventure, though. His favorite spots are Marco Island, FL and NYC. My high-energy, high-maintenance daughter loves to be entertained and to interact. Hands-on museums, playgrounds, and anywhere she can get some attention. Both kids love to visit friends and talk! Mom and Dad, well, we just try to keep up. :)

My husband had a conference in Southwest FL at a resort/ hotel, so we all decided to go. The place was so great, the kids had trouble sleeping. My husband decided to take our then-4 year old on a walk through the hotel while I got the toddler down to sleep. The guys ended up on the beach for their walk and as they finished, my son announced that we should all take a walk on the beach every night. We did, even in the rain! Almost a year later, both kids remember and talk about what a great trip we had. We can't wait to go back!

My daughter had colic and reflux problems when she was an infant, which meant that she could be suddenly very fussy. Traveling back from some destination, our flight was delayed. Both kids were tired, and when we got on the plane it was hot and stuffy. To make matters worse, we were seated in the back of the plane, where the noise and heat were particularly bad. My daughter was screaming so loudly people in the front were turning around -- one passenger was so impressed by the volume that he suggested she go into opera. At the end of the flight, we hit turbulence about 20 minutes before landing. My son got airsick, all over everyone. So close to landing, the seat belt signs were on and we couldn't get up to get supplies to clean up. AWFUL! No doubt, that was our worst flight ever!
