"Great Children's Museum!"
My kids ages 3yrs and 6yrs absolutely loved the Children's Museum in San Luis Obispo. There were some really great interactive exhibits and it was very fun and educational. The activities were all very age appropriate for my children. We will be planning another trip there very soon.

"Aquarium was fun & educational"
Our family really enjoyed our trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I love a trip that is both fun and educational. For a family of four we opted to purchase the season pass versus individual tickets and plan to go back again soon. The kids enjoyed the various exhibits and hands-on activities.

California Mid-State Fair

We had a fun day at the fair but spent way more than we had budgeted for the food and rides. Even buying the ride wrist bands ahead of time at $20 each wasn't a very good deal because the kids rides were not running due to a broken generator. We spent a lot of time wandering around waiting for them to get going again. I wish the attendant at the ticket booth had told us about the broken generator before we got our ride wristbands... we would have waited and done the rides a different day. Our grand total spent was $80 for the rides and about $45 on food. Ouch!

Gilroy Gardens (Bonfante Gardens)

"Gilroy Gardens is a blast!"
We recently spent a Sunday at Gilroy Gardens amusement park and botanical gardens and had a wonderful time! Our kids are ages 3yrs and 6yrs old and loved it. The lines weren't long at all and the rides are geared towards younger children. There were only two rides my 6yr old couldn't ride due to the height requirement (48 inches). It was a warm day and my kids also enjoyed the two water play areas. Be sure to pack bathing suits and towels for playtime at those two areas. My kids both said they liked Gilroy Gardens better than Disneyland... We will definitely be going back.
