Plimoth Plantation | kids travel, kids activities
Plimoth Plantation

Plymouth,
Massachusetts 02360
"Living History"
Take a walk back in time when visiting the Plymouth Plantation. It is an enjoyable place for the whole family and great to show children what it really would have been like when the first settlements were being built. I thought the actors were very authentic and professional. We enjoyed seeing the gardens and the hand dug canoe.

Hookipa Beach | kids travel, kids activities
Hookipa Beach
Route 36 and Route 364,
Paia,
Hawaii
"Very Scenic"
Hookipa Beach is beautiful and off the beaten path, being located just beyond the little surfing village of Paia. Windsurfers love this spot and it is very beautiful to sit a watch all the colorful sails bobbing around on the waves. Binoculars would come in handy to get a better look.

The Old Lahaina Luau | kids travel, kids activities
The Old Lahaina Luau

Lahaina,

"Well Done"
How can you go to Hawaii without taking in a Luau. We enjoyed the food, especially seeing how they roasted the pork in the ground. The entertainment was a little corny at times but fun to see the dancers, and the setting was beautiful. We watched the sun set over the water while we ate.

Haleakala National Park | kids travel, kids activities
Haleakala National Park
Haleakala Crater Road,
Kula,
Hawaii
"A Must See"
If you are in Maui you must make a trip to the top of the mountain. In my opinion the best time to take in the view is at sunrise. Yes, you will have to make the sacrifice to get up very early, but it is breathtaking and you won't forget it. The ride down is beautiful too and offers a different landscape to enjoy in contrast to the beaches

The Road to Hana | kids travel, kids activities
The Road to Hana
Hana Highway,
Hana,
Hawaii
"Beautiflul place to explore"
The road to Hana is a great trip to get off the beaten path of the resort areas and explore some of Maui's more remote area. It is a very winding, skinny road that may not be for the easily car sick folks, but there are many beautiful sites along the way such as bamboo forests, magnificent waterfalls, black sand beaches. Talk to some locals to find out the best secret places to visit.
