We stopped here as we were driving back home from vacation. It was such an awesome adventure. We took a tour which took us underground to the cave. We learned about the cave. It was a neat experience seeing all the old land and rock formations in the cave. Got to see some bats!

We love coming to Oak Island Beach. It is one of the most relaxing and quite beaches in the area. It is never crowded. It is near the town of Southport, which a quaint town with many old shops. You can also take the Ferry over to Fort Fisher, which is neat.
This is by far on the best beaches I have been to. Great family time.

This was such a great place. There is over a mile long of shops and neat old western shops. There are reenactments of old time western fights and they really put on a show in the middle of the street. You can get an old time picture made too, which is lots of fun to dress up.

We had a great time visiting Mt Rushmore. It is really neat to see the history and the great time and effort that went into making it. It is a great history lesson for older children. There is really not much to do here except see the monument, but it is magnificent.

We walked around the shops at Broadway at the Beach. Kids may get a little bored if they are not into shopping. There was a neat store called It'Sugar filled with all sorts of candy and candy clothing and accessories. There is also an mini golf course here that is very cool! There are many ice cream shops and great places to eat.
