"Good but could be better"
We took our 2 1/2 and 5 1/2 year olds. It was a bit annoying that are we paid to get into the park, we had to rent tubes for the lazy river. Also, there wasn't a single big slide our 2 1/2 year old could go on (there are Raging Waters). The layout is a bit confusing, as is the signage. Also, if a group goes up the same staircase to slide, then take different slides down, they can end up in vastly different areas at the bottom of the slide, which makes it difficult if you're with a youth group.

Disneyland Park
1313 Harbor Boulevard,
Anaheim,

Always awesome, my family goes to Disneyland/CA Adventure at least 5 times a year. There is something for everyone to do. Try and visit during the week and during the school year, the parks will be less crowded. However, sometimes going during off-peak days means that some of the shows are not on. You can check the Disneyland website for the calendar of events to see if things like the parades and fireworks are scheduled before you go.

"Awesome little place to stop"
Animals to see, snacks to eat, and a nice variety of fresh fruits and veggies. Our kids enjoy this place, and it's nice that there is no charge to get in to see the animals. The sweet shop has a nice variety of fudges and ice cream flavors. We'll return time and time again.

Third Street Promenade
3rd Street btwn Broadway and Wilshire,
Santa Monica,

Depending on weather, time of year, and day of week greatly changes the experience at this play. Sometimes there is a lot to see, and other times there is nothing. The selection of stores is the same basic stuff you find in many malls. And often there is a large amount of homeless people hanging out asking for money, which is uncomfortable with small children.

"best playground in california"
We stopped here after the aquarium. It's by far the best playground in California. It has multiple climbing structures, a train, bridges, and the coolest roller slide ever. My kids could have easily spent 8 hours there. However, because the park is so big, it can be difficult to keep track of more than one kid. If your children don't play together, it's better if there is one adult to watch each child.
