Megan,

So sorry to hear about your dad.  My deepest sympathies.  I can't believe you even wrote me back!  Please take your time and I'll send you a note another time when I think of something else you could help with.  Hugs to you.

Hi mjschubert,

Do you know what are good winter time day trips from Atlanta?  Would you be willing to create a list of your suggestions?  I think families will love some ideas for Winter break and I'd like to feature your list in our newsletter that's going out on Thursday.

To create a list, go to http://www.trekaroo.com/people/mjschubert/lists
Click "Make a New List." in the top right.

Glad to help! Sedona is about 1-1.5 hours from Phoenix depending on traffic. We had rented a vacation rental in Scottsdale which is slightly closer to Sedona than Phoenix and it was just a fabulous place. We had 4 families there for 10 days for about $3000 over the holidays. You can probably get cheaper at this point. Let me know if you want to check out the place that we stayed at. It had 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and a fantastic kitchen. There was a playground three houses away which was nice and a community swimming pool that we had access to for free which would have been great if the weather was just slightly warmer.

For your review of: Plymouth Rock
Thanks for your review of Plymouth rock.  I had no idea it was so small!  For some reason I've always thought it was a huge rock that all the pilgrims could stand on.
