My son had explosive poo just as we were taking off in the airplane. I wasn't allowed out of my seat for 20 minutes. by that point, it was everywhere!

Webb Bridge Park
4780 Webb Bridge Road,
Alpharetta,
Georgia 30005
"Great park in the burbs"
You definitely feel like you've left the city when you go to Webb Bridge Park. This place is huge and wooded! Once you enter the park, it takes a few minutes to get to the play area. In fact, once you park at the play area, it's a short walk through the trees to get to the play structure.
The main play set is a large wooden structure great for kids of all ages. For the real small ones, there is low to the ground climbing structure to play on. I loved this when my youngest was little. If they fall, they are close to the ground and seem to love climbing through the made for their size tunnels.
The sandbox is a huge covered area with a stream running next to it. The stream only runs seasonally, but the fact that it's covered is wonderful!
A large field for picnics, running around or playing ball are just beyond the sandbox. The swings and another climbing structure along with a walking path are also just beyond the sandbox.
My one complaint about the park is that the different areas are not viewable from each section. This makes it difficult if you have children of different ages wanting to go in different directions.
All in all a park with something for everyone!

Laurel Park
151 Manning Road,
Marietta,
Georgia 30064
"Love this park"
I have to say, out of everything this park offers - great location, great playset, wonderful green space and picnic area, my favorite is the pond and the ducks. The ducks are always up for a snack, so be sure to go with your left over bread. Easy access to this park, off of the main road (Whitlock) also offers great places nearby to grab lunch or a snack and head to the park: McDonalds and Publix. Laurel Park is also quite close to Marietta square. So, once you've dragged the kids on the historical tour, or shopping afternoon, treat them to a trip to the park.

Warbington Farms
5555 Crow Rd,
Cumming,
Georgia 30041
"Fall Fun just getting started!"
Warbington Farms had a Groupon this past week that my family took advantage of...and it was well worth the trip. This small family farm has recently started to open to the public and they are getting it right already. All of those working the farm are family members and they were very friendly and seemed to be well organized.

Thanks to the Groupon, our family of four was able to try all of the activities on the farm. We started by feeding the goats and ducks. Although I was worried the animals weren't interested in eating by the time we got there, we seemed to get rid of all of our feed. After a quick stop to pet the pony, we got on the tractor ride. I always love tractor rides that offer something other than a ride through a big field. This one did not disappoint. We were all surprised when the tractor stopped and from our seats, we were able to throw food into the troughs for the cows. At that point, the cows came running right up to the tractor to snack on the feed much to the kids delight. It was a great surprise and completely entertaining!
When we returned to the farm, the kids each had a pony ride, then jumped on the oversized inflatable slide and finished by picking out a pumpkin. We loved that it wasn't too crowded which meant no lines for waiting!
The farm has events running throughout the year. I encourage families to check their website for events - ex: Pumpkin Palooza coming in October! So great to see a family working the land, making it fun for other families to enjoy.

Dolphin Show at GA Aquarium
225 Baker St. NW ,
Atlanta,
Georgia 30313
"Captivating Dolphin show"
The Dolphin Show at the GA Aquarium is a new exhibit. Although it is part of the Aquarium, I wanted to give it it's own review. You do have to pay extra for it, but it was totally worth it! Our entrance to the museum plus Dolphin show was $37 per adult. The aquarium itself is a fantastic way to spend the day, but we were blown away by the Dolphin show.

We have visited several aquariums with the typical animal "show." This was nothing like the others. The show itself was a combination of great story telling, Disney like singing, light and water show with amazing Dolphin athleticism. The 30-ish minute show flew by! Any seat in the auditorium was a good seat (although not comfortable).

If you are visiting Atlanta, put this attraction on your must do list! You can get discounted tickets by purchasing a City Pass or grouping this visit with the World of Coke.

Amicalola Falls | kids travel, kids activities
Amicalola Falls
418 Amicalola Falls State Park Rd,
Dawsonville,
Georgia 30534
"Be prepared to work!"
The park is beautiful and clean. And if you are looking for a workout, you've found it. While you can "hike" a portion of the trail, the majority of it is a long, arduous set of stairs to climb to the top of the falls. For the smaller ones, you can drive them to the top for the same view.
Places to picnic are available.
