I suppose the Tampa airport is as good as any for traveling with a little one - especially during the day. There are several good stores upstairs for browsing and lots of tables for resting if you are stuck. And usually a nice art exhibit upstairs too, in case your little one gets bored. Plus, it is not overwhelmingly large and has up to date tech for check-in so the lines are rarely long.
