Bushkill Falls was a treat. The trails are well maintained and the scenery is beautiful. Even my son, who was lobbying to spend the afternoon at a nearby arcade, ended up having a great time (He took my camera and played at being a nature photographer). There are a number of trails to choose from- from a thirty minute one to a three hour one. We opted for the middle length trail, which took about and hour and thirty minutes and hits most of the falls and water features. I definitely would suggest this for kids younger than 10 because there are a lot of steps, and i could tell that my kids would not have enjoyed it as much if we had pushed on any longer than we did. There is neat gift/treat shop, and it looked like they also offer mini golf and paddle boats for kids, but we did not do either during this trip.

Came to poconos with kids for a nature weekend and to give mom some time off at home. Value Inn was the perfect location for what we wanted to do. Its close to a bunch of natural features: waterfalls, trails, the Delaware RIver, but its also close to kid friendly time-fillers (there's an arcarde, movie theater, and bowling alley all within 5 minutes). The rooms are nice and budget friendly. The staff is knows the area well and front desk is very accomodating - my daughter went down to the continental breakfast about a half hour after it closed, but they still rustled up some honey buns for her. All in all we had a great weekend and hope to return soon.
