Hanauma Bay | kids travel, kids activities
Hanauma Bay

"Amazing"
This is such a fun activity for the whole family. The color of the water, coral, and fish is simply amazing. For those who can't swim, there is always the beach to play on. Don't go too late in the day or you won't be able to take full advantage of the snorkeling. Also, check to see if the tide is high or not before you go as that can affect your confidence in the water!

USS Arizona Memorial Pearl Harbor-WWII Valor in the Pacific | kids travel, kids activities
USS Arizona Memorial Pearl Harbor-WWII Valor in the Pacific

"Wonderful Memorial"
If you are in Hawaii you need to visit the Pearl Harbor Memorial. It is a huge part of history. As you ride the boat out to the memorial you begin to think of what it must have been like on Dec. 7th, 1941 and what those soldiers must have been thinking of as they watched the planes attack. It is a very solemn memorial and most people are very quiet as they move about it. Make sure you get there very early as the line gets very long early on. It is free and worth the wait.

Dole Pineapple Plantation | kids travel, kids activities
Dole Pineapple Plantation
64–1550 Kamehameha Highway,
Wahiawa,
Hawaii 96712
"If you love pineapple. . ."
This is the place to visit if you are in Hawaii. You can see how pineapple are grown and tast all different kinds of varieties. The view is beautiful from the plantation as well. You can also get some great tasting coffee while you are at the plantation. I would make the trip early in the morning before the plantation gets busy with visitors.

"Beautiful Gardens"
The University Gardens are very beautiful and free when I was last there. They are easy to walk through and are a great place to have portraits taken. If your children are interested in gardening then this is a great place to encourage them! Enjoy the beautiful flowers. :)

"Many Activities in One Location"
This is a fun park to spend the day at. There is a new swimming pool and also a great playground. In the winter, they have an ice-skating rink that is okay. It's the only one in the area. There are picnic shelters and tables as well which makes for a great day!
