You have to pay to park but the water park is free! This is a really great water park. There are places for each age group to play at their own level. There is also a water slide that has an extra fee but for the big kids it seemed worth it. This place is a really cheap way to entertain the kids for the whole day. It is also very clean and mostly moms with young children. There is also a playground to entertain the kids too. I would say a must do.

"One of the better parks"
This is one of the cleanest parks that I have ever been to. We have had a couple of family reunions here too (if you have read any of my earlier posts) and this one is REALLY nice. There are several ponds located around the park were there are ducks to feed or chase and I have seen people fishing there as well. There are pathways to walk the entire park which would take 1/2 the day I'm sure. They have super clean bathrooms and picnic areas everywhere. You do have to reserve if you are going to have a large group but taking our kids there for the day is fun too. Also if you forget to pack a lunch there is The Hat right on the corner of Imperial and State College. The cost is for parking and it is a per car fee

La Jolla Cove Tidepools
La Jolla Cove,
La Jolla,
California
Tide pools are always fascinating to me and my 2 small children. If you go at the right time you can see octopus as well. You need to wear water shoes with good traction because the rocks get really slippery. This is a great way to make a day out of going to the beach and making it educational. We love going here in the early summer.

Horsethief Canyon Park
301 Horsethief Canyon Rd,
San Dimas,

We have had several family reunions here and it is good for all ages in our family. We have volleyball games and horseshoes and the kids can play in the really big and nice playground. Even though the website doesn't say it there are some small trails to the north of the park that go along a creek. This is fun in the summer to collect bugs and splash in the water.

They have everything here. Hiking, Horses, Ducks, Swimming, Boating, Jet Skiing, and camping. Just a nice little get away for your family. We like to go swimming in the summer and in the fall and spring we like to go and feed the ducks. There are long trails around the lake that you can ride your bike around so you can really get a good work out. Take a lunch because there is no place to eat inside though. You have to pay to drive in but if you ride your bike in you don't.
