Hotel Tomo, a Joie de Vivre Hotel | kids travel, kids activities
Hotel Tomo, a Joie de Vivre Hotel
1800 Sutter St,
San Francisco, California
"The Best in the city for kids"
Tomo in japanese means friend. This hotel is so friendly and casual. The whole theme is around gaming and animes.

The most special part of the hotel is that you can select a suite specially designed for gaming. This suite is equipped with a huge screen and every possible gaming console in the universe. It has bean bags and they cater to you with popcorn and snacks.

Many moms around the San Francisco area select this room as a slumber party opportunity for pre-teens.

You will love it. (Note that the hotel is part of the best western chain)

"Ask for a corner room"
The corner rooms are so lovely with Japanese screens and beautiful chaise space to fit 5 and a lovely japanese tub with the best bath salts ever.

You are going to love shopping at Japan town, the dining is awesome too. We adore the crepe shop and also buying origami paper for the kids at the paper store.

The hotel is a really tall building and the views are so very nice.

We did not like the restaurant at the hotel. Expensive and not that good. Instead go to the original sushi boat just across the street.

The Beach House Inn | kids travel, kids activities
The Beach House Inn
100 Pudding Creek Rd,
Fort Bragg, California
"Paradise!"
We love this place and everything it represents. The service is beyond compare, the tranquility and sense of relaxation.

They are kind to my kinds and often have surprises at the concierge desk or front desk. While the property is mainly a romantic property we have zero complaints as we have been treated like royalty.

The food is amazing they dont have a kids menu but they will try their best to accommodate

The Tides Laguna Beach | kids travel, kids activities
The Tides Laguna Beach
460 N. Coast Hwy,
Laguna Beach, California
"Quaint & Charming"
Laguna Beach is a hidden treasure and a great place for a family escape. It is not overly crowded nor does it have the party animals.

The Tides is a very small property with about 20 units all with kitchenettes. Large enough to give you the feeling that you are in a retro type vacation spot.

This property is pet friendly and totally kid friendly. We loved having the ability to walk to awesome snack bars and restaurants.

As an insider tip I would suggest buying picnic snacks and storing them in your kitchenette.

Hotel Rex, a Joie de Vivre Boutique Hotel | kids travel, kids activities
Hotel Rex, a Joie de Vivre Boutique Hotel
562 Sutter St,
San Francisco, California
"The smallest Room in History"
The Rex exudes charm and is positioned in a very advantageous location just a jump and a skip away from the square. We loved the little bistro downstairs it was tasty, organic and relatively affordable.

The elevator is not family size. It only fits two people. The guestrooms are so radically small you cannot roll in your luggage.

The bathrooms require for you to be petite to fit.

No closets

This is not a hotel for families
