Yellowstone National Park (overall)
Yellowstone National Park,
Yellowstone National Park,
Wyoming
We must have picked a really great day to visit because were able to see bighorn sheep, bison, foxes, elk, and eagles. Early June was a great time to visit because the crowds are smaller, and if you can stay a bit later into the evening, like 5 or 6, the crowds are smaller than that. We visited for two days, staying in Montana, and that was the perfect amount of time. We really enjoyed the hot springs, Old Faithful, the waterfalls, and the scenic drives. We brought snacks and lunch for during the day, since the food inside the park is expensive. That early in June, there was still snow, and we got out and played in it a bit. Do bring your winter coats if that's when you go, because we got anything from rain, to snow, to sun in two days!

Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park
Upper Geyser Basin,
Yellowstone National Park,
Wyoming
We were able to see Old Faithful shoot off several times, and both times got a slightly different show. After the first, my husband asked, "Is that it?" Luckily, after a really delicious dinner at the cafeteria (it was about $9 a dinner, but our fish and chicken came with veggies, stuffing, and a roll), we headed back to watch again. This time was much better, as the geyser really took off. Of course, there were a ton of people there, but there was room for everyone, and you really get a great view from any angle. We also took a look inside the lodge, where it was nice and warm :)

The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone
Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone,
Yellowstone National Park,
Wyoming
We saw the Grand Canyon from two different viewpoints and quickly realized why Yellowstone is named such. If you head to Yellowstone and have the time, I would make this one of the stops. It was very busy while we were there, but everyone there was polite and recognized that each person wanted their photo opportunity :)

"Ocean City-inseason and offseason"
Having grown up near Ocean City, this place is totally different depending on when you go. In the summer, its a lively bustling, almost overrun beach town, with its variety of tourists. The beaches are packed, but the water is warm, especially in July and August. I can't vouch for the hotels, but they are booked pretty far in advance, and the ones on the bayside are said to be slightly less expensive. In the summer, we love to ride the Ferris Wheel. Finding a free parking space always brings a supreme sense of satisfaction. You may have to walk a little bit after you've found a spot, and so staying in OC on the beach may be beneficial for that reason. We prefer to go farther down the beach, away from the boardwalk, in the summer, where the beach can be just a bit quieter. Also, for a change, you can head about 30 minutes away to Assateague Island.
I much prefer Ocean City in its off season. The best food is still there--delicious vinegary fries from Thrasher's, caramel popcorn from Fisher's, and saltwater taffy from Dolle's. The beach is beautiful, and walking out on the inlet when its empty and the waves are crashing is incredibly peaceful, but still fun for the kids as they jump from rock to rock. You don't have to deal with all of the raunchy t-shirt shops along the boardwalk, but you can still rent a 4-person bike to travel the length of the boardwalk.

"A Tried and True Favorite"
We have been here several times. We love it because we can find something new, and visit our old favorites. The fact that it's free doesn't hurt either :) Our kids especially love the animals exhibits, as well as the jewels/diamonds exhibit. Like other reviewers have said, it does get busy, but my kids don't even seem to notice because they are so excited about choosing where to go next!
