Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site
1500 Old Towne Rd,
Charleston,
South Carolina 29407
This park has been around for years. Before Hugo it was an amazing place to go. Its still a fun place to go but its nothing like it used to be. If your child is an animal lover there is a pretty good animal trail area where you can see otter, elk, birds, bear, and more.

South Carolina Aquarium
100 Aquarium Wharf,
Charleston,
South Carolina 29401
This is a nice Aquarium but it is small. If you are going for your first time its nice. I just find when we went back for our 2nd and 3rd time you go through it really quick. Its really nice though and it has awesome views of the Chaleston Harbor.

Rolly Pollies
9730 Dorchester Rd,
Summerville,
South Carolina 29485
We took a 9 week class here and what a blast!! There is a foam pit, a trampoline, you sing lots of fun songs, VERY CLEAN, and lots of other fun stuff. They even have an art class and a music class.
Fun for ages 6 months through 7 years old.
I think they even have a free class for your first time if you wanted to try it out.

Wannamaker park & water park

North Charleston,
South Carolina 29406
"park fun and waterpark fun"
The park itself has lots of play ground equipment for kids of all ages. There is also a big hill that kids slide down, paddle boat rentals, bike rentals, snack bar, a sprinkler area, large open fields to play in, and a walking trail. The best part... It's only $1 a person to get in.
The waterpark is awesome. Its the largest of the waterparks in the area. There are lots of larger slides for the older kids, there is a lazy river, a wave pool, a kid water play house, and a toddler area.

"Nice little get away...."
If you are tired of the same old thing here in Charleston this is the place to go thats not to far away. Lots of animals, a play area for the kids, a gift shop, a train for the kids, and different eating places. Its priced really well too so you dont have to spend an arm and a leg to get in.
