Belleayre Mountain Ski Resort
Route 28,
Highmount,
New York
Belleaye Moutain Ski Resort was a lot of fun for two novice skiers. It would be difficult to report on the quality of the skiing for those who "know skiing". The resort was nice, the town is quaint, and the locals were very friendly. When we took our trip at the in at the New Year, there was at least 24 inches of fresh snow.

Central Park
Terrace Drive and East Drive,
New York (Manhattan),
New York 10021
There is not much to miss in Central Park. There are miles of trails and paths in the park to walk, run, or bike. Take a carage ride, visit the zoo, go to Strawberry Fields. Visit Magnolia's Bakery and walk off the cupcake in the park! What a wonderful way to unwind from the hussle and bustle of the rest of the city.

Presque Isle State Park
Peninsula Drive (P.O. Box 8510),
Erie,
Pennsylvania 16505
Presque Isle State Park was a favorite destination of mine while in grad school. The trails for walking, running, biking, or roller blading are beautiful. The swimming areas on Lake Erie provide a true beach like experience. Take a picnic and a kite and enjoy a full day of fun.

Hersheypark
100 West Hersheypark Drive,
Hershey,
Pennsylvania
We have fun at Hershypark all year round. However, with a four year old, our favorite time of year to go is Christmas. The park is open on weekends in December at a much reduced price because all the really big fast rides and roller coasters are closed, but all the rides for the smaller set are open. The park is beautifully decorated and Christmas music is flowing. It is fantastic.

The Andy Warhol Museum
117 Sandusky Street,
Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania 15212
My husband and I visied the Warhol Museum for a few hours prior to going to a Pirates baseball game. The museum favored much better than the Pirates (but I guess that doesn't take much). The Warhol is definately a love it or hate it kind of place. If it is not your kind of art, you probably would not like to visit the museum.
