"Fun time! Bring A stroller though..."
I brought my two boys ages 2 1/2 and 4 years old and they loved the african safari the best. They also really enjoyed the petting zoo, although when we went a lot of the animals needed to have their vet visits and were not able to partake in the petting zoo. The boys were a bit disappointed about this. The food variety in the cafe wasn't great. Typical amusement park food, so id suggest bringing your own along with a stroller if you don't feel like carrying kids around as there are a few steep hills.

First of all, not too many people, which is always a plus. Second of all, the trees were absolutely FULL of cherries. Sweet and flavorful as well. Only bad thing is that there are no ladders and only one type of cherry, but they probably do that because of liability issues, so it's no biggie.

Mommies Out There On A Budget! cheap, reasonable fun water play! You only have to pay $5 bucks! they had the inflatable dog in the big pool! I could never do the lili pads... the water slides were pretty cool too. Great for all ages and good places to sit for the parents to enjoy and relax and soak up the sun!

Alameda Beach
South Shore Drive,

People DO NOT pick up their dog poo here. Its pretty gross really. Its very dirty! Garbage all over the beach, the sand is dirty, water looks nasty. Due to its geographic location the beach is on the receiving end of the bay's crap; the beach is cluttered with seaweed, flotsam and trash. The water is stagnant which leads to marsh conditions; i.e. the place reeks of sulfur.
However there are restrooms every quarter mile along the beach, though I did not go into any of them.

Lawrence Hall of Science- UC Berkeley

Beautiful views from parking lot. Awesome whale and cell structure to climb on outside. Inside, the main exhibits are on the 1st floor. Lot's of hand's on displays and it certainly is a great visit for kids and adults alike. My personal favorite room is the one with all the animals, and you can touch them, and its usually open on the weekends so either call or check online for the hours. i dont know them off the top of my head.
