Travel Town
5200 Zoo Drive,
Los Angeles,
California 90027
There are 2 other train rides near the vicinity... one is near Los Feliz Ave (small fee) and the LA Live Steamers Railroad museum also in Zoo Dr (accepts donations). Travel town has more than just a train ride... there are real trains you may climb in and miniature trains to watch. Good place for train lovers, not so for those who are not. You may also have a picnic or even celebrate a birthday. To enter is free and the train ride is very cheap. The only thing is that we end up running trying to catch my 3 yr old kid which can be really tiring.

"Don't miss the bird show"
I live in LA so a membership is worth it as my 3 year old son wants to go almost every other week. The zoo is big that you will have to walk far to see the animals. They have a train ride inside (for a fee) and a good bird show!. Food and drinks are expensive so it's good to eat somewhere else first before visiting. I bet that there are far better zoos in California but this one is not bad either.

Water show
3600 Las Vegas Blvd South, ,
Las Vegas,
Nevada
Kids and adults are entertained by this free dancing water show. This is a must see for everyone. Can't wait to go back and watch. You may watch this as many times as you want. Wear comfy shoes as the walk from even just the hotel parking or worse from another hotel can be really long.

"Probably good if you have time"
It's probably good if you have more time in the island and have nothing else to do. So visit all others first and visit this last. This was on our way anyway so we thought of stopping by and have some drink like what most of the people do. We probably will take the train tour next time just because my son loves trains. But I would still look for a cheaper train ride first.

"Great for snorkelers, not for kids who don't"
Nice corals, lots of fishes and even tortoise. The only thing I am giving four stars is that at the time we visited, my two year old son doesn't swim yet and much more doesn't snorkel. My husband and I liked it though but we had to take turns in snorkeling and babysitting. We got in for free and skipped the mandatory orientation as we were there so early that cashier wasn't opened that time yet.
