"a short stop on the way to somewhere else"
The Old Faithful Geyser of California is one of 3 geysers in the world that "performs" at regular intervals. It is an interesting and very quick stop on the way to wherever you are headed in the area. Our family did enjoy reading the information provided on the use of geyers as potential predictors of earthquakes.

"another local attaction gone"
Sorry but this one is no longer available to the public. It was a victim of inappropriate mangement and the economy. There is really not much more to say. The kids-friendly garden and local weekly farmers market are now gone. The city must now work to figure out what they are going to do with such a large space. It was OK while it lasted.

Skyline Wilderness Park has 850 acres of space available for hiking, horseback riding, bicycling, camping, picnicking, nature study, fishing, archery and disc golf.
There is never a loss at what to do when you visit this park, no matter the time of year. There are hiking trails available for for all ages. If you are lucky you will get to see some wildlife including a flock of wild turkeys. The views from the ridge are impressive.

"An amazing park for the kids!"
Not which which is more of a draw for our kids - the aquarium or this park. This is a must see attraction while visiting the area. There is so much to do, the kids will never be bored. It is a nice place to get outside and have the kids run around and burn off some energy. Don't forget to stop and climb around on the train engine near the main entrance. The rest of the park has slides, a climbing wall, swings and a really cool bridge connecting two hills. The rest is there for you to experience yourself.
