Marriott Summit Watch
780 Main St,
Park City, Utah
LOCATION: The best thing about this hotel is its location. It is located in 'Old Town' Park City and we just love that area. You are close to shopping, restaurants and there is a ski lift right across the street.
CLEANLINESS: Is fine the problem is that they don't keep up on the minor details like patching up dings on the walls or baseboards, basically the whole inside looked like it had some wear and needed to be painted which gave the effect that the hotel is dirty. It wasn't the sheets were clean and the towels too but the lack of upkeep made it seem run down and not clean at all
SERVICE: Was great. When we arrived we were in a nice room but it faced a boring road so we asked for a upper floor room with a view of main street which they found for us and were great about it. No problems with the service. They also have a great room and things to do for kids. Everyday there is a schedule in the elevator of things to do, example, tie dye socks, exercise classes, arts and crafts, etc.
VALUE: I was a little surprised at the rate as I paid $139 for 1 night in late August. Park City is a winter destination and I know the prices are a lot higher then so I was expecting something around $75-100 but it wasn't high enough for us not to stay at this hotel because we are paying more to be on main street.
ROOMS: Are a good size, ours had a king size bed, sofabed and a small kitchen. Worked just fine for us.
PROS: LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION and they are child friendly, they have a playroom, kids crafts through out the day and babysitting services!
CONS: Price
OTHER THINGS TO CONSIDER: They fashioned this hotel to look like a ski lodge but the problem with this is most of the building are not connected so you have to walk out side or underground in the parking garage to get from the front desk to your room or from your room to the pool. So if you are going in the winter make sure to bring a change of clothes to the pool so you don't have to walk back in a wet bathing suit. And try and get a room close to the pool. Another thing I want to mention is that the buildings that are on main street have shops, restaurants and bars under them so I wouldn't stay on the 2nd floor because you can hear the music and people all night until they close.

Main Street Deli
525 Main St,
Park City,
Utah 84060
Make sure to visit the Main Street Deli next time you are in Park City, Utah. What a great little place. The restaurant has a very laid back easy going vibe. The staff is all very friendly and they don't treat you like tourist they treat you like locals. Which is rare is such a tourist town. We have had breakfast there which tasted like a good home cooked meal for a good price, not over priced like most restaurants you will find in this town. But our main reason for going is the ice creme. I am not sure why but it is delicious. My 30 year old husband wanted to just skip the breakfast and have ice creme luckily I was there to be the voice of reason. We were there in July and in August. No huge lines, not over packed and they have a couple of cafe style tables out front next to a couple flower pots that we take advantage of if they are open.

Red Banjo Pizza Parlour
322 Main St,
Park City,
Utah 84060
"Great Pizza... SLOW service!"
My Family LOVES Red Banjo Pizza, its delicious! We eat at the pizza parlour every time we visit Park City, which is 2-3 times a year. I can not say enough about the food and the atmosphere. Its located in an old building on main street and still has a lot of the charm. The only cons I have and the first being a major one as I have to deal with a hungry 4 year old and 30 year old is the service is SOOO slow. The first time we went it was like 5 pm so we expected a longer wait but when we showed up a little after 8pm we thought we would be good. And there was a table and after not seeing any employees for about 5 minutes I finally tucked my head back in to the kitchen so that someone would seat us. Once there it took about 10 minutes to get our drinks and about 15-20 minutes later they finally took our order and it took right about 25 minutes for us to get our order... it was a long time. Its worth the wait don't get me wrong but be prepared to wait.

Santa Claus House
101 St. Nicholas Drive,
North Pole,
Alaska 99705
If you are in North Pole/Fairbanks Alaska you have to stop by the Santa Claus House. They have a great assortment of Christmas decor and ornaments, apparel, collectibles, made in Alaska items, as well as a selection of unique toys. They have a little coffee shop and a lot of unique photo opportunities, including a life-size nativity scene, a 6-foot plush moose and polar bear, and many themed Christmas trees. Outside, take your picture in Santa's sleigh, 40-foot two dimensional Santa and a 42-foot three dimensional fiberglass Santa and real reindeer.

Pioneer Park
2300 Airport Way,
Fairbanks,
Alaska 99701
Must see if you are in the Fairbanks area. Known to locals as Alaska Land this park has something for everyone. My 4 year old daughters favorite thing in the park is the train ride which takes you around the entire park twice and gives you interesting facts and history about the park and the things in it. My favorite is Gold Rush Town which is a cute little town of old log houses that are now stores and little restaurants. My Husbands favorite is the Salmon Bake and the aviation museum. But there are also playgrounds and put put golf.
