"The Home Depot - Not just for big boys anymore"
As a man I love the Home Depot, but now as a parent, I love it even more! You see Home Depot offers kids building events on Saturdays, but they also offer kids birthday parties.
Now, here is the best part, it only takes about an hour and it is absolutely FREE! Yes FREE!
Can you imagine the only cost being associated with a kids birthday party being the cupcakes? No clean up, no mess, nothing, Home Depot took care of it all, we only needed to bring the kids and the cupcakes.
They supplied the building material for the party and the kids got to make cars, birdhouses, planes and even a paper football field goal. (It was a blast)

"Camille Park a park in Beaverton for family with young kids"
I have to say I've been harsh on some of the parks in Beaverton, not for what they have, but what they don't have. None seemed to have a bathroom and when you have three kids, it seems one of them always has to go.
Well, Camille Park, not only has bathrooms, but it has something for everyone. Tennis Courts, playground equipment, basketball courts, walking trails and for my family a place to find frogs and snakes. (My oldest daughter and my 8 year old boy were all over that)
This park is one that we will go back to as we actually got to stay for longer than 20 minutes because of someone saying "I have to go to the bathroom" despite the fact that we had them all go before we left.

Sunset Lanes
12770 SW Walker Rd,
Beaverton,
Oregon 97005
Sunset Lanes has been a family favorite for many years, having had a least 5 birthday parties for the kids there in the last 5 years. Even when our youngest was 2, she thought this was a blast!
What makes it so much fun for kids? You can't get a gutter ball. They have bumpers they put up and even a ball launcher if you want it. This is perfect for the little ones. You put the ball on it and all they have to do is push it and giggle when it hits the pins.
If you are looking for a great place to have a birthday party for kids, I suggest you check out Sunset Lanes. (The only thing I didn't enjoy was their pizza) But for the kids, it was a blast!

"For imaginations of all ages"
When you were a kid, did you ever imagine going in to the world of "Alice in Wonderland" how about in to the old west, going seeing "Humpty Dumpty". Giants slides, a roller coaster, bumper cars, this place is a childhood dream.
I remember going their when I was a kid and couldn't wait to go back. The slide seems smaller, now, but when I was a kid that slide felt like a mile long. Still seeing a child's eyes wide open as they are coming down that slide is awesome.
So take the trip to just south of Salem to Turner, Oregon if you are looking for something to do with the family at any age. Kids are welcome 1 to 95 and there will something to do for everyone. = PROMISE!

Sexton Mountain Park
14700 SW Sexton Mountain Dr,
Beaverton,
Oregon 97007
"Where the heck do I park?"
This park actually isn't that bad if you live in the neighborhood and can walk to it. But, if you don't live in the neighborhood, there is absolutely no parking anywhere and the streets are lined with no parking signs. We figured you would have to park over a 1/2 mile away to go to this park.
Once you are in the park if you live in the neighborhood there is playground equipment, basketball courts and a sort of track for walking. B
