Strickler Planetarium

Awesome thing to go do if your child has a love or is interested in learning about outerspace. Tickets are sold on a first come first serve basis, and are fairly cheep. They have many different shows that they hold so you rarely see the same one more than three times. Some of the shows are kind of boring so I recommend it for children ages 5 and up. :D

Hidden Cove Family Fun Park
70 Ken Hayes Drive,
Bourbonnais,
Illinois 60914
In a land where Chuckie Cheeses' are scarce and an hour away, this is an ideal spot for birthday parties, family events, ect. There is a huge arcade, outdoor slides, mini golf, and much much more! It is always clean and the employees are very kind and thoughtful. I can't wait to go back and make even more family memories!

Northfield Square Mall
1600 N State Route 50 ,
# 590 ,
Bourbonnais,
Illinois 60914
This mall is okay, nothing special. I think that most of the stores are expensive, but some of them are reasonable. They recently added a Toys R Us in the mall, I don't think that it is going to stay there for long, but if you have kids then they will probably want to go into there. The food is okay, I really wish there were more healthier food options, but I guess that's what you get when you live in a nation of fast food.

Kankakee River State Park
5314 West Rt. 102,
Bourbonnais,
Illinois 60914
They have wonderful views and awesome trails! the park is very nice with easy access. Most of the hikes are not very tedious and are very much family friendly. I wouldn't take anyone younger than five on a hike though because it is easy to trip and fall. There are amazing views and the Park is maintained very well and doesn't have litter all over it.

McDonald's Playland
1180 N KINZIE,
Bradley,
Illinois 60915-1237
Yes, when you drive up, you are thinking that it's going to be a fun, awesome experience, but once you get out into the playland area, you will see what a disaster it truly is. There is always food, pop, ect remnants everywhere and it is old and gross looking. Trust me, stay inside where it is safe and sort of clean and don't venture out there.
