"The tunnel feature was so much fun"
We all loved the tunnel experience in this aquarium. We've been to many aquariums, but this one had a large section of tunnels that transport you under sharks, sea turtles, and other sea life. It was so cool to see them swimming all around you. There is also a fun Nemo-inspired fish slide for the littles. Their 2 touch tanks are fun too. They have a significant military discount, which helped us out with the cost of the visit.

"Shamoo show was our favorite"
There is an underwater viewing tank for the dolphins, and it is enormous. The Shamoo show teaches a few things about Orca whales, and is a fun time, getting the kids involved in the shamoo chant/dance. Make sure to bring sunscreen, since most of the park is outdoors/exposed to the hot Florida sun.

"Get your ticket before you go (weekends)"
The best advice I can give is to buy your tickets online before you go to the Aquarium. We had to wait for over an hour just to get a ticket to tell us to come back in three hours. Once we got in, it was pretty awesome. There was too much to see in the time we had left in the afternoon.

"A stop along the National Mall Tour"
We couldn't leave DC without making sure we visited the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. It is simple, yet beautiful and touching. No matter the date or time of day, you will always encounter someone looking for a relative or a comrade. Hint: if you are looking for a name, you should find out what section they are in before heading to the mall.

"Great learning opportunity"
Just walking up the steps to the Lincoln memorial is awe-inspiring. It presents a great opportunity to give a little bit of history with a visit to a national icon. It isn't an all-day sort of activity, but definitely a must-see on the National Mall. If you have a stroller or wheelchair, there is elevator access, so no one has to miss out on this monument.
