Worst Travel Moment With My Kids:
When, on the first day, my husband opened the door on our 2 year-old's toe, by accident of course. We had to bandage, bandage and bandage some more so he could enjoy the pool and the beach.

"FAO Shwartz is gone!"
Years ago, we spent hours at this Mall with our 4 year-old. The toy store was fantastic and he was still young enough to enjoy the animatronics shows at the fountains. The setting of that mall is gorgeous and there's a beautiful aquarium. However, unless you enjoy window shopping at very high end stores, or want to eat there, now that the FAO Shwartz store is GONE, if you're not near that part of the strip and have young children, don't bother. We braved crowds for over an hour to get there from Excalibur, pushing our 3 year-old twins in their strollers, promising it'd be worth it because of the humongous toy store, to it gone. We watched one of the shows (Atlantis), and while the toddlers hid their faces, our 10 year-old was utterly unimpressed. That was a MAJOR disappointment!

"It's gone"
Not too sure what to write. My husband and I had a wonderful time at this attraction 7 years ago, and managed to keep our then 4 year-old busy. The ride was fun and well-made. The "museum" and gift shop fun and full of unusual souvenirs. And there was even a sci-fi type restaurant in the middle. Unfortunately, it's now gone. There's been talk of moving it to another hotel and re-opening it but not sign of this, sadly.

"So glad we went!"
We have 3 year-old twins and we discussed long and hard whether we should take them to see the show or not, and finally opted to try. So glad we did! That was one of the highlights of the trip! The twins sat on our knees and shared our food, so they were free. Since they're small, they could see better this way anyway and the food was plenty to share with them. We had tomato soup that did NOT taste like it came from a can, steamed broccoli, boiled new potatoes and a roasted quail each, neither undercooked nor overcooked. Plus an apple pastry for dessert. Simple, well-prepared and tasty. The show was wonderful, fun, exciting, involving, full of pyrotechnics, music, stunts and audience involvement, and several actors stayed with their horses after the show to allow for meet, greet and photos. Very personable. My 3 year-olds kept replaying scenes for the next few days.

"Toddler's favorite"
First of all, let's make one thing clear, this is not a fancy hotel. The rooms won't impress and are barely clean, and our bathroom only had a shower. The TV was fuzzy and didn't have a kid channel. The buffet is nothing to write home about. However, we paid $30/night (brought an inflatable bed for 3rd child)! Our 3 year-old twins ate for free and we even got coupons for our 10 year-old! The arcade was great fun for all three (in many games you win something no matter what!). They absolutely LOVED the decor and atmosphere and kept asking to go back to The Castle whenever we were out. The cheaper eateries (especially Krispy Kreme) are great for the whole family and they have a wonderful "princess boutique full of dolls and princess costumes for little girls). The pool area was very pleasant with several large heated pools including one with a couple of water slides, a 10in. pool for little ones, several hot tubs, lots of lounge chairs. Last but not least, the Tournament of Kings was an absolute hit with the entire family.

"Video game heaven"
2 floors of video game fun for the whole family, all ages, all tastes. It has single player and multi player games, new, high-tech games and old-fashioned (read 80s) arcade favorites (which even my then only 4 year-old son enjoyed), sports games, shooter games, pool and darts, driving games, dance games, etc. And if you get hungry or thirsty, there's also a restaurant offering classic American fare. It's on the top floor so more quiet, but still great fun because the floor plan is open (a little like a balcony), so you can still enjoy the action, and it's connected to the gaming area on the top floor by bridges which are very popular with the toddler set. The entrance is free. You buy a card for x-amount of credit (6 different prices) which you then put in the machines so it doesn't have to be expensive and you can budget your kids.
