"wonderful Library"
A great interactive library experience. My 2 children 7 and 3 yrs have agreat time. I love to come here on rainydays when you are sick of being cooped up in the house and even better it is FREE. Its also fun to take the lightrail or walk around downtown on pleasant days. There is a specialty deli/grocery across the street for a nice lunch that is not fast food

"great kite flying"
I have a 3 yr old and 7 yr old. We bought a kite and a boomerang to test out on the sand dunes at Kill devil hills and it was like the best kite flying experience ever! Lots of Kite shops in the area with interesting choices. My husband and 7 year old had to learn how to use the boomerang porperly but once they got the hang of it , their accuracy was amazing. The Sand is HOT in summer wear shoes that entirely cover the feet

"lots of animals"
A different kind of zoo experience. Pretty neat to get this close to unusual animals. We chose to drive our car through the ranch and it got covered in slobber. I wonder about the well being of the animals. They seem to be glutted on those grain buckets. If you are a member of PETA don't go here

"Knoxville Zoo"
I grew up in Knoxville and have visited this zoo dozens of times. I was so pleased when I took my own children that they have made wonderful improvements with exciting exhibits and play areas for kids. They also offer season passes which are worth the money if you or kids grandparents live in the area. The local paper has had coupon discounts in the past.

"interesting"
As children's museums go, it was pretty good, with a wide variety of subject matter to investigate. I was dissapointed that some of the interactive exhibits had not been kept up properly and were sometimes broken. Kids did not seem to care though, there was still plenty to keep them busy. Not good food options.
