Located in downtown Portland and built in 1913 the historic Central Library has been called Portland's crown jewel. Two Tarts Bakery
2309 NW Kearney,
Portland,
Oregon
Two Tarts Bakery is located just off the NW 23rd shopping area of Portland. After a morning of shopping and wandering be sure and stop into Two Tarts Bakery for a treat. Originally a booth at the Portland Farmer's Market it is now a full fledged bakery. What I love most about Two Tarts is that everything there is bite size! That way you can taste one of everything.
They have a great little area for the kids to sit, relax and do a bit of coloring while mom and dad enjoy their treats too!
Be sure and check out the toy store right next door!

"Portland Fountains Walking Tour"
What better way to see and enjoy downtown Portland than take a walking tour of all the wonderful fountains. The fountains operate spring through fall, 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. With 13 fountains in the downtown area there is plenty to see and on a hot day it is a great way to cool off! Be sure and visit the Portland Water Bureau's website and print off a map of all the fountain locations.

With 230 acres of park and 3 1/2 miles of paved, easy walking trail, Cooper Mountain Nature Park is the perfect place to take the kids for a little nature watching and exercise. In addition to the walking trails the Nature Park has a great playground area for the kids too. If you are lucky you will run into one of the park guides who can update you on any nature sightings that have happened that day. The park comes with a beautiful view of the Chehalem Mountains and valley below.
