E'Angelo Italian Restaurant
2234 chestnut st.,
San Francisco,
California 94123
"delicious food!!"
E'Angelo is one of our new favorite restaurants. Every item we ordered was fantastic: minestrone soup for my 20 month old (he ate it up, and I couldn't resist dipping in too); spinach ravioli for my 4 yr. old (wonderful!); mushroom & salame pizza for my husband; and warm spinach salad for me (I wish I had held the bacon - just for health reasons). We ate everything on the table.
The restaurant is pretty small, but there was no wait at 6:30 on a Tuesday. The restaurant was full, which is why we chose it, and there was a good flow of customers. The waiters were nice, they all spoke Italian which was fun for my kids to hear.
The prices are about the same as most places, a bit high - $5 for the soup, $14 for the ravioli, $12 for the pizza.

"great park for kids"
We were driving on Chestnut St. in the Marina, heading out, talking about maybe going to Golden Gate Park for the kids (we do not live in SF). We passed the Moscone Rec. Ctr. and saw their playground, and our kids went crazy. We must have played for two hours easy. There was something for both boys (ages 20 mos. and 4 yrs.) and plenty of seating for parents. There is an enclosed sand box for toddlers as well as a toddler only sand dune. The jungle gyms were friendly for both boys, although one is meant for 5-12 yr olds. They even have an adult sized swing. It's a great park, and it wasn't too busy, even at 4:30 on a Tuesday.

"fun, but we are not becoming members"
We took our two boys (ages 20 months, and 4 yrs) to the Exploratorium yesterday. We were there for about three hours and the boys had fun with all the hands-on exhibits. There was a section blocked off for toddlers which was good for keeping mine from running crazy among the other exhibits, but was not more exciting than a doctor's waiting room. The museum is cool and probably great for kids older than mine, as most of the science was over their heads. The 4yr old had the most fun with the basic exhibits like a beach ball kept afloat by a current of air, and other similar exhibits. We're glad we went, but we probably won't return any time soon.
One plus: it's free on the first Wednesday of the month. Check the website for details.

"we love this hotel when we are in Vegas"
We go to Las Vegas about twice a year. My four year old always wants to go there, and is so happy when we do. Our Vegas trips are different from others though. We don't do any gambling and we always stay at the Stratosphere. It's very affordable and clean, and most importantly the pool is family friendly. It's never too crowded for swimming and there are always chairs available. We don't usually during the height of summer because it's too hot, but the times we have been there have always been a positive experience.

"perfect for day trips"
We are members of this zoo and come often. It's the perfect size for my toddler and preschooler. There are elephants, giraffes, lions, and an assortment of bugs at the Ewww House. We see the animals, then play at the new playground. It's always a great time.
