"A wonder of the world"
Niagara Falls is breathtaking. You might want to take your children here when they can remember the experience. Bring your camera, some money for souvenirs, snacks, and sun block in the summer, even though its further north you can still get sun burnt. I recommend visiting the great lakes while you are on this trip. I still have a couple sea shells, yes i said sea shells, from my visit as a child. I walked the beach with my family and had a picnic, one of my favorite memories. If you want to visit the Canada side, don't forget your passport. I recommend at least visiting Canada, there are some fun things to do in the surrounding areas of the Niagara Falls.

"something even for the little ones"
Worlds of Fun is only 3 hours from my hometown so we visited this amusement park often, plus we have family in kansas city. For little kids, Camp Snoopy is the place to be, you don't have the height requirements like the adult rides and there are tons of other kids to play with. Then you have the rides for those kids who love roller coaster and other head rushing rides. Then there is my favorite part of the park-Oceans of fun. This is separate so you need to buy another ticket or a bundled package which will save you more money. You could do a 2 day pass so one park one day and the other the next. Also, in the surrounding areas there are coupons available for admission like coke products have $2 off if you bring in one of their specially marked cans. Or I am sure you could find a coupon online. I remember going here for a girl scout trip in 5th grade and we had a blast, we went to both parks and brought back many memories.

"inspiration"
This is a great spot to stop if your kids are into sports and have a childhood dream of going to the olympics. I was obsessed with swimming when I was younger and we visited the training center when I was about 12 and I felt so inspired to push myself harder in what I loved. No, I didn't make it to the Olympics but I enjoyed my visit and the memorabilia I saw. I would say for young kids this is probably not that interesting, but if you have older kids its a nice stop for the day. Don't plan to make this an all day ordeal because its a short visit.

"Year-round waterpark"
This is just as much fun for this kids as it is for adults. The hotel has 2 water slides, a hot tub that fits 20+ people indoors then there is short tunnel to the outside of the building with another hot tub that fits about 10+ people. There is a large portion of the inside water park dedicated to small children with a small slide and some other fun things to climb on. There is a separate pool with basketball hoops for playing games. There is a bar inside the water park with tables and chairs to hang out for a bit to have a drink or eat some food, and yes there are alcoholic drinks for the adults. There are lockers available if need be and large bathrooms for changing and rinsing off. It was the most fun I've had in a while and free tickets come with each room rental or your can pay to walk in. The rooms and hotel itself are upscale and clean, definitely a great place to rest after your done playing all day.

"So much more than you'd expect..."
I've been here twice with my family and it always amazes me on how those faces were carved into that rock, they are massive! There is a walkway leading up to the 'main viewing area' lined with all the flags of the 50 states. It is a very patriotic place to visit and learn how these presidents impacted our futures. This is a great place for kids to go because there is learning and fun involved. Bring the camera, your kids will want to have a keepsake of their first trip here to show their kids when they get older. Plus, there are many other attractions near by giving you a full days worth of things to do.
