The Shops at Riverwoods
4801 N University Ave,
Provo,
Utah
"Cute but not much there"
The Shops at Riverwoods is a cute outdoor shopping area but there aren't very many stores or places there yet. There is a movie theater and a couple of nice restaurants but as for shopping there are only a few places. One place we like to go is the Color Me Mine there where you can paint your own pottery. The Provo Trail also goes right by the Riverwoods. It is a nice place to walk around at least.

"Quick and Easy Hike"
This hike is just up Provo Canyon. It is a great hike for families because it is just a paved trail for probably a mile or less that leads to the Falls. Parking can get crowded in the summer. We like to take a picnic lunch up there. You can climb in the rocks under the falls and play in the water as well. Perfect for in the spring and summer.

"Plenty to do"
There are mnay things to do with families at Brigham Young University. There is a giant cougar statue over by the football stadium, you can play with science experiments in the Science Center, you can bowl in the Wilkinson Center as well as go to the bookstore (which has way more than just books and a candy counter). You can also get ice-cream made at BYU in their creamery there. They have a theater in the Wilkinson Center as well. There are many trails all around campus and the lansdscaping is all done very well.

"Beautiful Grounds"
The Provo Temple has beautiful landscaping, flowers and a fountain that you can walk around. There are nice fields of grass that are very well maintained and sand volleyball courts just outside the temple grounds. It is a nice place to just go for a walk with your family. Important to be respectful around Temple Grounds.

BYU Museum of Art | kids travel, kids activities
BYU Museum of Art
North Campus Dr,
Provo,
Utah 84602
"Free art"
The museum is free. It is right on the Brigham Young University Campus so there is plenty to do right around there. It is small but that makes it the perfect size if you are just passing through or have small children. They switch out exhibits regularly and get some pretty neat exhibits. They give guided tours and have events there every once in a while. There is also a small sculpture garden right outside. They have a cafe too on the top floor.
