Miami Seaquarium
4400 Rickenbacker Causeway,
Miami,
Florida 33149
We visited the Sea Aquarium and were quite disappointed! The exhibits were very small and the shows were not that impressive. We actually left feeling quite bad for the poor animals that were kept in such small quarters! It's a small aquarium sure, but it could use some renovation to improve the quality of life for the animals kept there.

Coconut Grove
East of Coral Gables at the south end of Bayshore Drive,
Miami,
Florida
Coconut Grove is a must visit in Miami. It's a lovely plaza filled with restaurants, little shops, a movie theater and other forms of entertainment. The family will love the views and the restaurants. And if you love shopping like I do, there are plenty of great stores to visit!

Bayside Marketplace
401 Biscayne Boulevard,
Miami,
Florida 33132
Our family loves visiting the Bayside Marketplace. It's a buzzing location with lots of shops, restaurants, events and even a move theater! It's definitely a place to visit if you are in Downtown Miami. A tip: before you visit, keep an eye out for the events that are going on. We happened to be in the area during a Barrack Obama rally where the President spoke (very exciting)!

Parrot Jungle Island
1111 Parrot Jungle Trail,
Miami,
Florida 33132
Our family had a nice time visiting the Parrot Jungle but I'm not sure it was worth the money spent. Admission was quite pricey. And considering the exhibits and the shows were not incredibly impressive, we were a little disappointed. However if you are willing to pay the price tag, the kids will definitely enjoy the wide range of bird exhibits and fun shows.

Everglades National Park
40001 Route 9336,
Everglades City,
Florida 33034
"Great day trip for the family!"
Our family had a nice visit at this national park. There's plenty of nature to see including toads, alligators, all kinds of birds, snakes and more! Be sure to pack a lunch, snacks and water though. You'll be walking throughout the park for quite some time. Also keep in mind, it's sweltering in the summer so dress accordingly! Overall, fantastic time.
