"A park and zoo in one!!"
This is a quaint little park with a small zoo as a bonus!! This is fun way to take a drive with the family, pack a lunch, let the tots play on the playground, and get out and about for a walk through the zoo. My kids have loved this park since they were little. Its a nice way to burn off some of the excess energy of the little ones while mom & dad relax a bit. Its very inexpensive at $1 for adults and 50ยข for children. Fun for all ages!!

The Mayan
9400 S State Street,
THIS RESTAURANT IS NO LONGER OPEN,
Sandy,
Utah
"Entertainment & Food All-in-one"
The Mayan located in Sandy, Ut is a fun place to visit when your in the area. The entertainment includes cliff divers, animated shows, special effects, and themed costumes!! Seating is strategically placed for great views of the show. The mexican menu is not quite as special as the entertainment, but still good. Great for all ages. My kids love this place, but more for the entertainment value over the food!!

Downside:
The food is so-so and a bit on the expensive side. (If you have the "Entertainment Happenings Coupon Book" there is a valuable coupon inside that will save some $$$)

Ogden Municipal Gardens, Christmas Village | kids travel, kids activities
Ogden Municipal Gardens, Christmas Village

"Holiday Classic"
Christmas village in historic Ogden's 25th street is a must do on your holiday checklist. The city has a christmas light parade the week of thanksgiving that leads right to the village where there is a lighting ceremony and fireworks with santa to kick off the christmas holiday. The village is filled with many little village houses that are decorated and funded by local businesses. This holiday favorite is an adventure for all ages. Hot cocoa is available, entertainment is playing, and santa is there to listen to christmas wishes. A wonderful holiday tradition to add to your calandar every year!!!!

"Not just a sporting good store.."
Cabelas is actually a really fun way to spend an afternoon whether your a sportsman or not. In this huge sporting store you will see an enormous rock climbing wall, real animals (stuffed of course) in what would be a natural setting, fish tanks, and more!! This place is entertaining & fun for all ages. My kids have been going there since they were 4 & 5 yrs old and now are pre-teens and still love the atmosphere!! There's also a cafe on site if you work up an appetite!! Fun store to shop in or just look around.

Antelope Island State Park | kids travel, kids activities
Antelope Island State Park

Syracuse,
Utah 84075
"Antelope Island"
Antelope Island is a fun afternoon getaway that is fun for the entire family. Take a drive out past the salt water and see all the antelope and other wildlife right out in the wide open. Drive to the top of an outlook to see the valley from another perspective. While your there...try a buffalo burger if your feeling adventurous. A fee is charged to enter by carload but its worth the trip!!
