As you can tell from my reviews, Chicago, IL is one of our favorite places to go. We are not far from there and it is a nice trip. Almost every time we go, we make a side trip to the Museum of Science and Industry. MOSI, as it is called by locals, is a very interesting place to visit and bring the kids. I do have to warn you, you may not make it all in a day if you have little children. One, it is long and they might get fussy with the whole thing, and two, it is more on an older child level. They have some things for little kids but the little ones get bored easily walking through the museum. This is better than the Field Museum though as there is stuff for the little guys.
The price is a bit expensive for the whole family. Sometimes they have free days which you can find those dates on their website. Food is a little high as well.
Overall though we really enjoy this museum. We stop by almost every time we take a trip to Chicago.

We are frequent visitors at the La Quinta in Willowbrook, IL. I have to tell you, this is a wonderful hotel with friendly staff and good accommodations. It is near several good restaurants and there is also a Target close by.
We have asked for a fridge and a cot at times and these have always been brought to our room within a good time. There is no pool but they have an exercise room and vending.
Sometimes they are pretty full so always make reservations ahead of time.
With all our traveling, this is one of our favorite hotels. The location is nice and staff is great!
