"Wonderfully entertaining, top-notch musem-ultra clean"
This is a great place to bring everyone from your newborn to your toddler to your mother-in-law. I have been bringing my son here since he was crawling because it was one of the few air-conditioned places to comfortably enjoy during the hot hot Florida summer. Now he is 3 and has a little sister and we still go here once per week--he still gets excited to see the giant Mastodon cast (largest Mastodon fossil found in North America), the Saber Tooth Tiger Fossil, the Gaviolosuchus (sp?) and the megalodon jaws. Snooty is great, but there are so many great, powerful exhibits that children immediately relate to. There is a life-size diorama of a father and son hunting a giant bison using their atl-atl (ancient spear), there is a T-rex paw print your child can put his hand in--this museum is awesome--the education director used to be with the museum of Natural History in NYC--this is a top-notch museum--after 3:30 is half price and almost always, the museum is uncrowded. MUST SEE.
