"Interesting"
Not for little kids unless they're really interested in air and space. There were really long lines into exhibits that should have been more exciting (IMO). 4 year old wasn't impressed but I'm sure she would have liked a movie in the IMAX theater. Interesting stuff to look at but definitely a place you will only be interested in visiting once.

"Fun to do with kids"
4 1/2 year old loved it. She especially loved looking at all of the jewels like the Hope diamond and the large gems. The Elephants in the entrance are awesome as well. We really enjoyed the Ocean Hall where we saw an extremely large (either a...) squid or octopus.

George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens | kids travel, kids activities

"Good for school aged children"
I took my 4 1/2 year old who doesn't really understand the concept of George Washington yet so we didn't go inside the mansion, we only did the estate. We loved seeing the pigs and the bison. We also really enjoyed walking through the gardens since we started growing our own veggie garden...she could actually identify what was growin at Mt. Vernon.

"Amazing"
We had so much fun going to the Children's museum in Richmond. There are lots of cool activities for kids of all ages to do. They have an outdoor playground and water area, an awesome tree to climb through, building activities, a mini grocery store, and much more!

"Would go all the time"
My daughter and I love going to the national zoo! If you are a member of FONZ you have an opportunity to take part in all different kinds of activities and get free parking. DD loves to see all of the awesome animals! Have never done a tour with a guide but see them and think it would be fun too.
