"pricey but so much fun"
After tax, I paid almost $50 for my son and myself to get. Then $10 for a double raft rental (you get $2 back), $12 for a locker (you get $6 back), $13 for an underwater camera (figured why not? those pictures could be fun!), almost $20 on lunch for the both of us, and a scoop of ice cream for each of us at the end of the day ($6).

But... we had such an amazing time. I went with another single mom and her son, who is about my son's age and it was a blast.

You set up your own spot on lounge chairs, a picinic bench, or wherever, with your towels (and cooler if you want - but you can only bring in water and the do check). So we brought LOTS of water rather than having to buy it in the park.

At first, I didn't think there was a lot to do... there's a lazy river (so nice and relaxing), a wave pool (always fun), 5 or 6 big water slides, and a kiddie play area, which included small slides for the kids, a regular pool, and a "lily pad jump" which many of the kids couldn't stay on. Also, the parking lot isn't very big but we had no trouble finding parking spots - and this is in the middle of summer.

However, we stayed for 6 hours and weren't bored at all. The lines for the slides weren't very long and the wait was always very short. Lifeguards are everywhere. My son is SO excited to go again.

"small, spooky, and interesting"
We visited this serpentarium after spending the day by the lake. It was smaller than I expected but it was definitely interesting seeing all the different species showcased here. Some of the serpents were much scarier than others!

I doubt we'll go back here but it was definitely interesting to see. If you're a fan of snakes, I'd definitely check it out!

"great upscale shopping"
My son loves the Disney store and Pottery Barn Kids. I love Sephora, Nordstrom, and Coach. I also have fun shopping here and even my son doesn't mind because he knows there will be fun stores for him as well.

If you're in the mood for some upscale shopping for you or your child, this is the perfect mall for it. Personally, we always like to end our day of shopping with dinner at PF Chang's right down the street.

"artsy and beautiful"
I loved this hotel. It was full of pretty artwork. The walls were painted into beautiful designs, and there were paintings all down the hall towards our room.

We had breakfast here the morning after our one-night stay. It was delicious, although pricey.

There's a pool and in the evening, there was also a bonfire near the pool.

The price wasn't bad but it didn't really seem like a kid-friendly hotel. However, if you're going without children, its a great place to stay.

"mostly for adults"
Many things in this park are for adults, and I definitely enjoyed my time here. However, it was also very exciting for my son. He was amazed at what he called the "giant meatball" and was even more excited to go inside it!

He thought Figment was a lot of fun to watch and there's a large imagination area where kids can dance on colored tiles that light up, make funny pictures, and more.

We also toured all the "countries." There was a fun KidsCot stop in each country that he had a lot of fun with. Many things were more adult-oriented although he really enjoyed the little the miniature train in England and the Troll in Norway.

We had lunch at the Coral Reef, which I highly recommend. It was delicious - one of Disney's best - and the service was impeccable. The view is amazing. Pricey, but sooooo worth it.

The Maelstrom, although short, was fun. My son loves pretty much any ride and he thought it was "just a little spooky."

Overall, I'd say this park is geared towards adults but don't miss it with your children. We spent an entire day here and my son was thrilled.
