Sleighbell Christmas Tree Farm and Gift Shop
130 Whitins Rd.,
Sutton,
Massachusetts
"Such a nice place!"
The Sleighbell Christmas Tree farm is such a nice place to go in the Sutton/Millbury area with your family. They had tons of trees to choose from in their fields that were nice and close to the parking area. They also had a huge selection of pre-cut trees that had previously been cut a couple of days earlier. My younger son happened to fall asleep in the car on the way, so we stuck him in the stroller and were able to pick from the pre-cut trees instead of taking the stroller through the fields. After you select you select your tree, you bring it to the wrapping area where they shake off the excess needles, saw off the bottom, and put it in a net for you... all for free! It was $42, I think, for all of that... totally worth it! And, they have complimentary hot cocoa and cider. They also sell homemade kettle corn, which was delicious! You can also buy beautiful fresh wreaths and garland, not to mention cute Christmas decor items in their gift shop. This was such a great find - we will definitely be visiting again next year!

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge & Villas | kids travel, kids activities
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge & Villas
2901 Osceola Parkway,
Lake Buena Vista, Florida
"Really Nice Hotel"
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is a great hotel for kids. They have a really nice pool area with a water slide and kiddie pool which is right next to a quick service restaurant. So you can hop out of the pool, dry off and go get lunch or a snack. There's also a really nice playground near the pool. And obviously, there's the animals to look at. It's so nice to wake up in the morning and go out on your balcony and see what the zebras and giraffes are doing. The restaurants are African themed, and the food has an African influence. We were a little apprehensive about this, especially with the kids, but all of the food was really good, and all of the restaurants have kid menus with things like chicken fingers, french fries, and mac & cheese. My only negative thing about this hotel is that it's really far away from the Magic Kingdom, so you have to take a bus, which is about a half hour. And the buses can be crowded at different times of the day, so carrying a two year old while standing on a bus is not fun!

"Great pool area for kids!"
We actually stayed at the Jambo House at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge instead of Kidani Village, but we took a little golf cart ride over to Kidani Village to take advantage of their pool... it's fantastic for little kids! They have a splash area with fountains and a little slide, and water canyons to play with. On the other side of the splash area is a little playground where the kids can climb and slide. The pool itself is also very kid-friendly with two water slides. One for little kids and one for the older ones. My 2-year old loved the little one, and my 4 year old loved the big one. They also blow up these small animal beach balls and shoot them down the slide when they first open. They're free for whomever can grab one. This is a great place to go when you need a day off of the theme parks!

"Fun place"
Downtown Disney is a nice place to take the kids in the evening after you've been to the theme parks during the day and have gone back to your hotel to rest a bit. There's tons of great restaurants, and lots of fun things for the kiddos. Legoland has little tables of legos for the kids to play with, some of the stores have things as well. One of the stores had a huge Mr. Potato Head display where kids can build a Mr. Potato Head. Tons of shopping too.

"Good for older kids"
Hollywood Studios is a great place to take your family on a Disney vacation, but I think it's better for older kids. A lot of the attractions there are shows, so it was difficult for our 2 and 4 year old. We went to Mickey's Clubhouse, and we got to take our picture with Lightning McQueen & Mater, as well as one of the Toy Story characters, but we felt most other things weren't really that age appropriate for our kids. We'll definitely go back when they're a little older and can sit through a show.
