About Me & My Family

Ever since I can remember, my life has been a world filled with boys and men and it all began with my British mother’s words of wisdom, “Dating is like traveling, the more men you know intimately the more life opens up its secrets to you.” Everybody always told me about true love but nobody ever told me how to live happily ever after children are added to the romance. Raising three boys in Aspen, Colorado with my true love, the coolest MacGyvering mountain man in town and traveling as much as we can to release the ennuis of life can make for some entertaining stories. http://isdisnormal.com

Worst Travel Moment With My Kids:
When my ten year old fell into the hotel pool in his sorrels, hat and mittens and snowclothes. There was no dryer at the hotel and the fireworks were starting in 30minutes. We trekked around town, found a hotel that let us use their dryer, Aspen Square, and made it in time!

Our Family's "Staycation" Experiences in Colorado

My blog, Is Dis Normal or Dysfunctional http://isdisnormal.com, positively documents the spirituality behind my life as I raise three boys ages 5, 8 and 10 with my husband near Aspen, Colorado.

Due to the volume of people visiting my website in search of great ideas to enhance their trip while they are visiting our state, I have decided to expand my posts to reflect our "staycation" experiences here in Colorado....and beyond.

With the rising costs of ski passes and the hassles of flying, many of us are branching out and exploring new alternatives for entertainment. It is not just the visitors that I would like to reach out to but also the locals, alerting them to all that is going on right in our backyard.

So come on over and have a good read and let me know if you want more!
