About Me & My Family

We live right up from the Space Needle in a wonderful area called "Queen Anne." Two blocks from the "View," one block from our favorite coffee shop "Caffe Fiore" and walking distance to everything else - life doesn't get much better than this!
Our Family's Travel Personality
adventurous, rowdy, relaxed, spontaneous, artsy, social_butterfly
Our Favorite Vacation Spot
Glacier National Park
Worst Travel Moment With My Kids:
28-day rode trip across country when Mia was 15 months (we put on 8,000 miles!!). She was a spectacular traveler and we had just pulled into Santa Fe on my birthday. We were all a little tired and went to try Coyote Cafe. She was impatient and it was the one time in the whole month that she wasn't in the best spirits. Well, the service was horrible, they wouldn't wait on us and an hour later we hadn't even been asked what we'd like for entrees. When we got up to leave, the server came over to me and said "Yeah, well happy birthday. I bet you'd like to light a candle over your daughter's head and blow it out." Let's just say, worst experience at a restaurant ever - and their behavior was more inappropriate than my daughters. Finally, we went to a city square, I sat on a park bench and my husband brought me a piece of chocolate cake from a bakery! It was the sweetest gesture on his part - my dear little girl sat on my lap and we ate the cake together -making the final hours of my birthday memorable just alone with our little family.

Stores Mom and Kids Love in Seattle by Mompreneurs

Sometimes revered as the “Emerald City,” Seattle has a plethora of activities, greenery and beautiful natural scenery to offer families who are traveling with children.  It also has some dazzling niche boutique shops for the whole family, with many of them being Mom-owned businesses.  Climb to the highest hill and you will see a panoramic view of the Space Needle immersed in the cityscape with Mount Rainier, Puget Sound teaming with boats and ferries, and majestic islands in the distance.  Walk a few blocks around each view area and you are bound to run into a shop or two that beholds wonders of handmade products, exclusive boutique gifts and shop treasures.  Seattle is not a bad place to indulge in a little impulse-buying for you and your child and it’s a win-win situation in boutique stores where there is always something for each person in the family.
Rain or shine, the relaxed approach that is evident in the Seattle lifestyle makes it an uncomplicated place to travel with kids when shopping.  Start with a memorable walk through Pike’s Place Market that is riddled with fish throwing, cobblestone, artisan handmade products and Seattle culture and then venture out to shops owned by Mompreneurs.
Here are my picks for kid-friendly boutique shops in Seattle:

1. Lily’s Pampering Salon
Just for mom and kids.
2. Julep Nail Parlor - Downtown Seattle
Julep is located in 4 locations - Bellevnue, Gig...
3. Urban Kids Play
Just for Kids.
